Alpha Three Pro Mega Bundle Review

We bought the Toybox Alpha Three Pro Mega Bundle for Christmas, and it's been a hit. Ordering was simple on their website, and the bundle arrived well-packaged. Setting up the printer was surprisingly easy, even for someone not super tech-savvy. The app works great for picking designs, and the sheer number of options, including the DC Comics Toy Collection, keeps the kids engaged. We had a small issue with a print getting stuck, and customer support replied to my email within a day with clear instructions. The non-toxic filament is a big plus for peace of mind. Overall, a solid product with decent support.

Good printer, slow shipping

I ordered the Toybox Alpha Three for my son's birthday. The printer itself is pretty neat, easy for him to use, and the designs are fun. Setup was straightforward. My only complaint was that shipping took almost 10 days to reach us in Oregon, which felt a bit long. Also, the online catalog could be a little easier to navigate to find specific licensed characters.

Great value on bundle

I was looking for a 3D printer for my kids and found the Toybox Deluxe Bundle. It was a good deal compared to buying everything separately. I signed up for their newsletter and got a small discount code for my first order too. The printer food that came with it has lasted a while. It felt like a smart purchase for the price, definitely got my money's worth.

Reliable fun for kids

This was my third purchase from Toybox Labs, this time I got some more PLA Filament and a Replacement Print Bed. As always, the order process was smooth and shipping was quick, arriving in about 4 days. Their filament colors are consistent with what's shown online, and the print bed was easy to swap out. It's why I keep coming back; no surprises, just good quality stuff that works.

Can I use PayPal for this? Or is it just credit cards on their site?

O Omar D. 2 months ago
Pretty sure I used PayPal. Most online stores have it these days, right?

Just confirming, are the licensed toys like DC characters really official? Don't want to get some weird knock-offs.

G Greg V. 1 month ago
Yeah, they're official. It's all legit, they have the licenses right there on the product pages. My kid prints out tons of legit Superman stuff.

They have partnerships with those brands. You're getting real licensed designs, not fakes. That's a big part of why people like Toybox.

Hey, wondering how long shipping usually takes for a printer to New York City? Trying to get it for a birthday next month.

D Derek 2 months ago
Mine got to upstate NY in about a week, I think. Came pretty quick.

J James 2 months ago
yeah, NYC should be fine, I got my printer in like 5 business days to Brooklyn. They usually ship pretty fast in the US.

What's the deal with returns if my kid just doesn't get into it? Is it a hassle?

J June Marsh 2 months ago
Returns were pretty straightforward for me, I sent back a nozzle kit that was the wrong size. Just check their return policy on the site, I think it's like 30 days.

I haven't returned a printer myself, but my friend did with no issues. Just keep the box and everything, makes it easier.

How does the Toybox compare to something like a Creality printer? I've seen those cheaper but they look more complicated.

M Megan 2 months ago
Totally different league. Creality is for hobbyists who want to tinker. Toybox is literally plug-and-play for kids. If you want easy, Toybox wins.

Creality is like building your own PC, Toybox is like an iPad. Toybox is super easy for kids, the Creality ones are for adults who know what they're doing with settings and stuff.

Anyone know if there's a first-time buyer discount code floating around? Looking to grab one of these for my nephew.

Is the Toybox printer food actually non-toxic? My kid puts everything in their mouth, even stuff they shouldn't.

M Mike L. 2 months ago
It says on their site it's non-toxic and biodegradable. Felt pretty safe to me, my little one is past that stage but good to know.

J June Silva 2 months ago
Yeah, it's supposed to be kid-safe. That was a big selling point for us too, you don't want them messing with weird chemicals.

Are there ever any good sales around Black Friday or Christmas? Thinking of holding off a bit.

O Omar A. 1 month ago
Definitely. They always have Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. That's when I bought mine, saved a good chunk on a bundle.

G Gwen 1 month ago
Oh yeah, Christmas and Black Friday are their big times for sales. You'll probably see some decent bundle discounts or percentage off then.
